  1. The interior of the auto ignition coil, or the insulation layer of the line is aging and breakdown, and the power switch transistor is damaged;

  2. If the spark plug gap exceeds the maximum limit, it will lead to a large compressive load of the main coil and rapid aging of the internal insulation layer;

  3. The spark plug gap is too small, resulting in a large secondary coil discharge current, large heat generation, and rapid aging of the insulation layer;

  4. The anti-interference resistance of the spark plug or the resistance value of the wire with the high-voltage cylinder line seriously does not meet the standard, resulting in excessive heat generation of the auto ignition coil load;

  5. The insulation failure of the control signal wire of the auto ignition coil and the computer control problem of the engine make the auto ignition coil close and energized too much to generate heat;

  6. In the auto ignition coil structure, there may be defects in the insulating material, the high internal resistance of the coil and high heat generation, and the low quality of the three-stage tube.

The reasons why the pen-type auto ignition coil is always burned out and will burn out soon after replacement, the author’s analysis and summary, as well as the method of dealing with experience, to check the data, are:

  1. Measure the system voltage with a multimeter or read the fault code and data flow with a detector. If the power generation is too high, the auto ignition coil will burn out easily if the load is too heavy. If it is a generator failure that causes the system voltage to be too high, then the body's electrical appliances, such as light bulbs, will often be damaged;

  2. Check whether the spark plug gap is too large, adjust the spark plug gap or replace the spark plug if it exceeds the standard;

  3. The quality of gasoline is not good, it is easy to knock and has a high temperature, which makes the working environment of the pencil ignition coils worse. Strictly use the corresponding grade of gasoline, and choose gas stations with a good reputation and good quality to refuel;

  4. Serious carbon deposits in the combustion chamber of the engine, too much boring during cylinder head leveling and maintenance, also lead to easy knocking and high temperature, timely inspection and maintenance, and standardized maintenance;

  5. The computer program of the engine is faulty, which makes the primary current of the ignition controller too high and causes the auto ignition coil to overheat, so update the new version of the data package in time;

  6. Poor contact of power supply, grounding line, and line plug makes the voltage unstable and electric leakage, check and repair;

  7. The high-voltage line is aging, and unqualified, and the resistance is abnormal. Check and judge and replace the high-voltage line;
